Tailored Soap

Skin loving, sweet-smelling and beautiful

I (Marte) started making soap as a coincidence as I went into a hobby store, saw a soap base, and figured I’d give it a try. It didn’t take long before I found myself addicted to the art form. During the 3 years I’ve been soaping, my storage of soaps, oils, molds, tools, colorants and fragrance oils have just kept on growing. I enjoy everything pretty, shiny and all things that smell amazing, and our whole range of soaps do the trick! We make, design, print, label and wrap up everything in our studio in Stavanger, Norway.

All of our soaps are made in our soap making studio, using quality materials, and they are treated with love both during and after production. All of our soaps contain glycerin, which absorbs moisture from the air onto your skin once you have used it (this is often removed from store bought soap). Our glycerin soaps are either made with a white base, which makes them opaque and colors turn pastel, or with a clear base, which makes the color brighter – shimmer and glitter can be added, and they are more or less transparent.

Cold process soaps are made from scratch, using oils, sodium hydroxide (lye) and water. There is no lye in the finished product, and during the saponification glycerin is formed. Also there are oils in the soaps that are not saponified, which are beneficial to your skin. Different recipes feel and work differently, but all of our recipes are all great for your skin, and can be used on both hands and body, and most also on your face. Once the soaps are made and done, they’re wrapped in their packaging, as well as bubble wrap to be securely shipped to your home.

Other than soaps, I also enjoy making other bath and skin products, such as scrubs, body butter, bath bombs and lip balm. Christopher, my boyfriend and partner, also came up with the idea that we should add beard balm and oils, and so we did! Our goal is to have something for everyone !
